   So Doy…I’m at a rare outing to a restaurant ever since my 1/28/14 heart attack (men’s prayer group meeting at Houlihan’s). My three buddies all order hamburgers and fries. I stick w/ a loaded baked potato telling the waiter to “hold the sour cream, the cheese, the bacon, etc.” So he looks at me strange and I tell him, ‘Yeah, basically a baked potato w/ chives and a pepper shaker.” LOL! Wanted to tell you that you really helped me out in your last post ’cause I used your strategy and basically ate dinner before that 6:30 pm meeting hence it was so easy to enjoy the meeting and not envy my friends’ dinner plates. Plus…knowing what we now know about animal protein and our heart’s vessels…I DIDN’T AT ALL HAVE A DESIRE FOR THEIR CHOICE OF MEALS ANYHOW! So happy to still be alive and to have Dr. Esselstyn’s Diet to continue to follow and LIVE LIFE ABUNDANTLY no longer eating horribly like I did before. (I used to almost eat fast food three meals a day, hence my heart attack at age 46 this past January!) Keep on doing great like you are. You inspire us! – Carl
